PreSchool - Chalice Children

The preschoolers are working through a curriculum called Chalice Children this year.  It's a great curriculum for littles that aims at introducing big ideas to young children with simple, accessible activities.  Lessons include - our church as a community, why people go to church, helping others, the beauty of nature, different religions and holidays, and of course the symbol of UUism - the chalice.  Generally kids start Chalice Children around three or whenever they show interest in the activities.  Children this age are beginning to explore their church environment and getting to know staff, volunteers, and other members.  These lessons are shorter to accomodate a young child's attention span and opportunities for free play are also provided.
