Sunday Mornings at First Unitarian Church

Families are always welcome to visit the Religious Education program (advance notice is not necessary). Programming for Pre-School through Fifth Grade is offered during our two Sunday Services at 9:00 and 11:00am. Middle School and High School Youth Group programming is offered at 10:00am between the two services. Nursery care is available from 8:45am till noon.

On your first visit, our friendly greeter and/or Religious Educator will show you where your children's classrooms are. We ask you to sign the Visitors Book and indicate that you want RE information so you will receive notices about the program.

On most Sundays, children begin the morning in the Church Service with their family. During the service they will be a part of the opening ritual and listen to the Message for All, usually a story that speaks to adults and children and offers a poetic entry way into the theme of the morning's service. After the Message for All the children are sung to their Religious Education Classes by the congregation. Children's RE classes end at 10:15am and 12:15pm respective of the service time.

After classes, please join the coffee hour in Fellowship Hall where you will find conversation and donuts!  There is also a special Kid Zone Table with crafts and games for children to enjoy during the social time.

Dress is, for the most part, casual, though some children enjoy dressing up for Sunday Mornings. Classes are active and can involve activities like painting or gardening.
