Update on Air Quality Monitoring Project

Sunday 2/11/24 at 11:30 AM in Hope Chapel

First Unitarian Church hosted an air quality monitor on our building in 2022-23. On Sunday 2/11/24 at 11:30 AM in Hope Chapel Tyler Cargill from Washington University's Jay Turner's air quality lab will be providing an update of the 12 month PM 2.5 air quality monitoring project. Beth Gutzler, Metropolitan Congregations United's Lead Environmental Justice Organizer, will talk about action and wins around air quality and how it connects to all faith based environmental justice efforts at MCU. Tara Rocque, Washington University's Environmental Law Clinic, will speak about the air quality solutions based upon the research done by the team in response to the 2019 Washington University St. Louis Environmental Racism Report. The congregation will have an opportunity to ask additional questions and (depending on time allowed) talk about how this all connects to things the church would like to do next. We hope you can join us this Sunday after the Service.
