The Social Responsibility committee recently met to review Designated Collection nominations from our members and friends. The Program, common in many UU churches, has existed at First Church for almost twenty years and is one of the ways we as a congregation show our support for nonprofits and church programs focused on issues of equity, health, hunger and housing.
Usually, two Sundays per month are designated as “Special Collection” Sundays in addition to our Christmas Eve collection. Selected organizations receive all donations for a particular day with the Christmas Eve collection split between two organizations.

If you would like to donate to Designated Collections, you may do so in any of the following ways: a donation during Sunday services by check or cash; via the church website; or, through the “Text to Give” feature highlighted in our E-News and Sunday Order of Service.
