On the morning of Sunday, July 23, adults and teens gathered in the First Church kitchen to cut, chop, mix, package and transport food for eight-five meals to be served to clients of Trinity Episcopal Church’s Food Ministry program. And, thanks to our volunteer bakers, we had a great selection of quality desserts for Sunday’s meal and afterwards. Our effort was part of a rotation by area churches to ensure that those of our neighbors in need have access to nourishing meals each Sunday.
In addition to our Sunday helpers, thanks also go to Lynn Hunt for ordering meal supplies and to the many in our congregation who generously give to the Trinity Designated Collections which fund our Trinity collaboration.
