ERDE, Earth Reverence Dedicants Extraordinaire, is a group dedicated to honoring the earth and its cycles through worship and fellowship.

Do you long to explore your spiritual connection with nature? Come join with us as we support one another in discovering each of our unique spiritual journey and relationship with the wonder, beauty and power of the natural world.

Arising out of the Green Sanctuary and Religious Education committees, we offered our first earth-based celebration of the darkness and the returning light at Winter Solstice in 2009. We've celebrated each Equinox and Solstice since then with an intergenerational gathering which often includes a craft related to the season, a special ceremony, and a potluck meal. We offered our first Sunday morning worship service for Summer Solstice 2011 and look forward to continuing this type of contribution to worship. Starting with Halloween 2011, we plan to also begin marking the cross-quarter holidays which occur mid-way between the Solstices and Equinoxes.

Our worship style includes acknowledging the circle we create together; welcoming the elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth; and drumming, rattling and singing together. We explore stories and myths, and often celebrate outside with a fire. We offer activities to physically represent our intentions, hopes, and dreams.

Members of ERDE plan and conduct services, ceremonies, and celebrations with an emphasis on creative involvement by all interested parties. Everyone is welcome, we look forward to connecting with you as lovers of the earth.
